Jakarta and JXB Enliven Ramadan by Holding #FestivalRamadandiJakarta

PT Jakarta Tourisindo (Jakarta Experience Board) collaborates with the Jakarta Government to carry out #FestivalRamadandiJakarta which takes place at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta from April 11 to 24, 2022 from 12:00 to 19:00.

The series of #FestivalRamadandiJakarta events is hoped to revive people's economy which for the past two years has been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

The event involved various collaborators, namely Semasa and Jakpreneurs under the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf).

It was expected to become a program that could revive the Ramadan atmosphere and also a forum for MSMEs to improve their marketing.

Jakarta Secretariat's Spiritual and Mental Education (Dikmental) Bureau Head Gunas Mahdianto appreciated the series of Ramadan events this year.

"The series of #FestivalRamadandiJakarta events is held to revive people's economy which for the past two years has been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also brightens up Ramadan with Islamic entertainment. Of course, we urge people to implement health protocols when participating in the event and make sure they are in good health," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID's Press Release, Monday (4/11).

It was opened with Ramadan Market which involved around 100 MSMEs tenants from various sectors, including crafts, culinary, creative products, and others.

Ramadan Market was divided into two, namely Ramadan Market in collaboration with Jakpreneurs from April 11 to 20, 2022, and Ramadan Market in collaboration with Semasa from April 22 to 24, 2022.

It would also present a musical performance in collaboration with Ramadan Jazz Festival on April 16, 2022.

Several musicians, such as Teddy Adhitya, Sivia Azizah, Risty Tagor, Nadhif Basalamah, Difa Chandra, and Mark Natama would enliven the event to accompany visitors while waiting for the time to break their fast. The next musical performance would be held in collaboration with The 12th Music Gallery.

The 12th Music Gallery is the biggest annual event of BSO Band FEB UI, an art festival that combined music and visual arts. This year, The 12th Music Gallery: Showcase will allow selected bands from Band Submission Music Gallery to showcase their works live at #FestivalRamadandiJakarta on April 23, 2022.

The JXB President Director Novita Dewi stated the #FestivalRamadandiJakarta event at Lapangan Banteng was opened for free to the public. Visitors were expected to always comply with health protocols to anticipate the COVID-19 transmission.

"Hopefully, we can feel a warmer Ramadan like before the pandemic. We also expect the community to support MSMEs to bounce back while enjoying the Ramadan Festival," she conveyed.

There was also a COVID-19 vaccination center at #FestivalRamadandiJakarta for residents who wanted to get a booster shot (Moderna) or first/second doses (AstraZeneca and Sinovac). It can be accessed at Jakarta Health Agency Booth from April 11 to 24, 2022 (except April 21) from 14:00 to 17:00.

It would be also broadcast on social media timelines with the hashtag #RamadandiJakarta via Instagram @RamadandiJakarta, @dkijakarta, and @jxboard. Visitors could access more information about the #RamadandiJakarta program from those social media accounts.
